COFFEE & MINCE PIES will be provided by the SVP after 10.30am Mass next Sunday 30 November. Everyone is most welcome.
CARITAS AT CHRISTMAS APPEAL: Every penny given goes directly to help those most in need within our Diocese, providing crisis food vouchers,
practical support, and the reassurance of care and compassion when it matters most. You may donate online at: www.caritasshrewsbury.org.uk or by using the QR Code on the Poster in the Porch.
PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL MEETING: Notes from the recent meeting are available in the Porch. Please take a copy.
PRAYER TREE You may notice the prayer tree in the foyer is now the prayer and praise tree. Following a discussion at the recent prayer group,
we thought that as well as requesting prayers, we could share any answers to prayer or to praise/thank God for gifts received. Please use the tags by the tree to note your prayer requests and to give thanks for prayers answered. The next prayer meeting will
be at 7pm on Monday, December 15th in the church hall. Everyone is very welcome.
CHRIST THE KING: A Reflection Today’s Gospel shows Jesus as a very different kind of king. Instead of a throne, He is on the cross; instead
of praise, He receives mockery. Yet it is here that His true kingship is revealed: through love, mercy, and forgiveness. One of the criminals beside Jesus turns to Him with a simple, trusting prayer: “Jesus, remember me.” And Jesus responds with compassion
and hope. Christ the King does not rule with power or force, but with a love that never ends. May we welcome His kingship into our lives and choose, like the good thief, to turn to Him with trust. By Christel Casse, (Lay Pastoral Assistant)
SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION is available during Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and after weekday Mass.
