NEWS AND INFORMATION

THE PARISH DAY will take place next Saturday, 28 September from 10am until 4pm. It is a day for all the family and for all members of the
parish involving fun, reflection and prayer. We will come together to reflect on our Parish Community and the “Joys and Sorrows” of being part of this parish and the local community and to plan the future of St Winefride’s.  There will be time to chat and
get to know each other better. A Hot Pot lunch will be served. We will be joined by Fr Peter Montgomery who will give us a talk and point us forwards as we make decisions of what we would like to develop in our Parish in the coming months and years. This is
a real opportunity for everyone to contribute to the way forward for our parish.

40^th ORDINATION ANNIVERSARY: I find it hard to believe but on 29 September I will celebrate the 40^th anniversary of
my ordination as a priest. On Monday, 30 September you are invited to join me for Mass and a Buffet Reception at 7pm at St Vincent’s, Knutsford.
Because of the Parish Day it has been decided that we will now celebrate my anniversary here at St Winefride’s after the Vigil Mass on Saturday, 19 October. When I hope you will join me for a drink and some nibbles.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY: We are desperately in need of some new volunteers to help with the Children’s Liturgy at our 10.30am Mass as some of
the present volunteers have had to step down. It would be very sad to lose this great service to our youngest parishioners. If you can help, please contact Christine Martins on 01925 552655. Many thanks.
