NEWS AND INFORMATION
THE PARISH DAY was a wonderful occasion which was enjoyed by all you attended. A full report will be available to everyone shortly and we
will look to implement the many ideas which came forward very soon. Thank you for all who worked so hard to make the day so special; so much work went on in the background and I am so grateful to you all.
MANY THANKS for your generous response for our Family Fast Collection which raised £492.20 for CAFOD.
NOVEMBER SOULS: Traditionally during the month of November we remember the Holy Souls, especially our own loved ones who have passed from
this world. If you would like the names of any loved ones included on our November Souls List, please hand in their names together with any donation you wish to make. Masses will be offered throughout November for all those on our November Souls List.
CAMBODIA LINK: You will have heard me talk from time to time about my links with a parish in Cambodia. I am delighted that Fr Totet, the
Parish Priest in Siem Reap, will be visiting us in October. He will join us for the Vigil Mass today and will talk about his work when he returns in early November. I hope we can establish a link between our two parishes and the communities he serves in Cambodia
so that we can support the amazing work he and his team are doing. In the future I hope to take a group to Cambodia to see the work he is doing.
CATHOLIC EDUCATION: At our Parish Day many talked about the need to support our children and help them develop their faith. Catholic Schools
play an important part in supporting parents in the education of our children. One of the sorrows expressed by many at our Parish Day was the lack of a Catholic School in Lymm. We do, however, have Catholic Primary Schools in Latchford: Our Lady’s, Wash Lane
and St Augustine’s, Henshall Lane also St Monica’s, St Monica’s Close, Appleton. Also, Cardinal Newman High School, Bridgewater Ave, Warrington. We also have a Catholic School and Pre-school at St Vincent’s in Knutsford. Please contact any of the schools or
