NEWS AND INFORMATION
PROGRESS WITH WORKS: We hope you like the new fence and gates around the church site. The plan is to keep the gates closed (not locked) between
services to discourage parking from outsiders. New lights have been installed inside and outside church and in the parish rooms. We will decorate the church in early September.
PARISH GARDEN: Now that the new fence has been completed, we want to develop the border down the side of the church by the main entrance. If
you would like to be help, we will meet during tea and coffee after Mass this Thursday.
MANY THANKS for your generous response to last week’s retiring collection for Stella Maris which raised £350 to support seafarers.
THE PARISH DAY: Please remember to complete and return your “Joys and Sorrows Sheets”. We are anxious to get a real sense of what your priorities
are for our parish, so Your thoughts and feelings are so important as we come together to plan for the future life and mission of our parish. We have extended the date for you to return the sheets to 11 August.
NATIONAL EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS on Saturday, 14 September at St Mary’s Oscott in Birmingham. Details of programme are on a poster in the porch.
If you would like to enter the ballot for tickets as part of our diocesan representation, please give your names to Fr David by 21 July.
THE SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION is available each Tuesday during Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
PLEASE REMEMBER IN YOUR PRAYERS Fr Anthony Cogliolo, recently retired priest of St Teresa’s, Wilmlsow who has died.
