A NOTE FROM THE BISHOP: “The Bishop wishes to thank the parishioners who have written to him recently to express their concern about the proposed changes to Mass
times and to express their commitment to building up the life of St Winefride’s. After speaking with Fr David about the many factors involved, the Bishop has asked that the
changes to Sunday Masses due to take place on the First Sunday of Advent be postponed until the New Year so as to look afresh at the situation. The Bishop understands the change in circumstances since plans were first made at the end of the summer
thanks to the generosity of Fr Tony Elder and Fr David Long. The Bishop very much wants to see the life and mission of St Winefride’s continue and flourish in the years ahead.”
TUESDAY’S MASS: Please note that due to the Parish Dinner Mass this Tuesday will be at 9.30am and will be followed by a period of Adoration until 10.30am.
SUPPORT FOR WARRINGTON FAMILIES:
Once again St Josephs’ Family Centre are seeking to provide a Christmas Hamper and supermarket gift vouchers for families experiencing extreme financial difficulties this Christmas. Any donations of tins, packets and
long-life foods as well as selection boxes, chocolates and biscuits can be placed the in the red bin in the porch and will be taken to the St Joseph’s Centre.
TEA AND COFFEE and mince pies will be served after 10.30am Mass today.
PLEASE PRAY for two parishioners who have died recently, Winfred Gerald and Hendrika Waites. May they rest in peace and may the Lord comfort their families and
friends.
SUPPORT YOUR PARISH: I want to establish a Core Group of parishioners to work with me to plan a Parish Day in the New Year when we can come together and reflect
on how to develop the life and mission of our parish. If you would like to join this group, please let me have your name, email and phone number.
