NEWS AND INFORMATION
NOVEMBER SOULS: Traditionally during the month of November we remember the Holy Souls, especially our own loved ones who have passed from
this world. If you would like the names of any loved ones included on our November Souls List, please hand in their names together with any donation you wish to make. Masses will be offered throughout November for all those on our November Souls List.
RETIRING COLLECTION next Sunday for the Clergy Education and Training Fund which supports those preparing for the priesthood in our diocese.
ENQUIRY GROUP: Are you interested in learning more about the Catholic faith or maybe becoming a Catholic? A few people have expressed interest
in joining our Parish family recently. Beginning each Thursday from 14 November you are invited to St Vincent’s Knutsford where we will reflect on the Catholic faith. As well as those who are enquiring we welcome any committed members of the parish who would
like to join us to reflect on our faith and support those who are looking to become Catholics.
NEW LECTIONARY: The Bishops of England and Wales have approved a new translation of the Lectionary (the readings at Mass) to be used in all
churches from the beginning of Advent. I have ordered new Mass Books with the new translation which hopefully will be with us by the beginning of Advent.
HOLY COMMUNION UNDER BOTH KINDS: Until the Covid Pandemic it was normal to offer Holy Communion under both kinds that is the Sacred Host
and from the Chalice. I propose that we will re-introduce this from the beginning of Advent. No one should feel under any obligation to receive from the chalice it is simply offered for those who would like. Whilst to receive under both kinds is a fuller sign,
the Church teaches that we receive the Lord body, blood, soul and divinity under either form.
